Description

Postcard depicting John Glenn in a replica of the first airplane of the Wright brothers at Kitty Hawk, N.C., in 1964, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of powered flight. Printed text recalls that Wilbur Wright had flown 120 feet in this machine. On the reverse, recipient address to Clyde J. Sarzin in Port Washington, L.I., New York, U.S.A., with a 5c International Red Cross 1963 stamp and a postmark from Kitty Hawk, N.C., dated March 20, 1964.
