Reference letter sent by air from Waramangal (A.P.), India, to the Admissions Office of the University of Iowa, Iowa City (U.S.A.), dated March 1982. The reverse indicates the sender: Dr. N.Ch. Pattabhi Ramacharyulu, professor of mathematics at the Regional Engineering College of Waramangal. Three Indian stamps (100, 200, 25) are affixed, with an obliteration stamp 'INDIANAPOLIS' and an air mail stamp 'BY AIR MAIL'.
