Description

View of the Romanesque church in Longpont, remains of the Benedictine Abbey founded in the 11th century by Guy Trousselle and his wife Hodienne. The printed text indicates that the church was an important pilgrimage site, especially on Sundays and on the Tuesday of Pentecost, and housed a rich reliquary. The reverse has handwritten correspondence dated May 29, 1929, addressed to Miss Blanche Brottard in Chartrette, with a blue 1929 stamp and a Montlhéry cancellation.
