View of Place de la République in Lyon, centered on a fountain surrounded by trees, with trams and pedestrians. Buildings line the square, some displaying signs such as 'La Grande Maison Vêtements' and 'Mutuelle de France'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Madame Hippolyte in Paris, with a 10-centime stamp and a Lyon-Vaise postmark of October 18, 1930.
