View of Place des Cordeliers in Lyon, showing a large Gothic church with rose window and a multi-storey building. The printed text explains the history of the site: former cemetery, statue of Urania, annual rent of 100 francs, and monument change in 1765. Reverse: 30-cent postage stamp, Lyon postmark 11 August 1937, handwritten address to Monsieur and Madame Punal in Jyry (Seine), and sender's signature 'de Bayjoux Marie'.
