Richly decorated interior of the Empress's Reception Hall at Château de la Muette, with ornate ceiling, crystal chandelier, painted panelled walls and bust above the fireplace. On the reverse, handwritten correspondence addressed to Mademoiselle Courbaron in Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Manche, with a red French Republic stamp postmarked La Hougue on December 26, 1906.
