Description

Colorized postcard depicting a standing soldier saluting a fallen comrade, with a printed poem at the top: 'VIII En avant! tant pis pour qui tombe. La mort n'est rien. Vive la tombe. Quand le Pays en sort vivant. En avant!'. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated February 15, 1915, signed 'H. D'Expresser', addressed to 'La Bandannière', with a decorative border and the sender's signature. The publisher 'SAZERAC Phot' and number 3852 are visible at the bottom left, and 'CROISSANT PARIS' at the bottom right.
