Black and white view of Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey, highlighting the apse of the basilica and surrounding buildings. The reverse has handwritten text addressed to Madame Gérand Millot in Croyes, with the sender's address in Strasbourg. 50-cent postage stamp of the French Republic, postmarked Mont-Saint-Michel on 15-8-1917.
