Description

Postcard depicting Montmort Castle in Marne, a feudal keep built in 1575 on the ruins of a 12th-century fortress, flanked by four round towers and crowned with a belvedere. The reverse details its history: acquired in 1704 by Pierre Remond, then in 1789 by the Académie française, before being sold to L.-F. de Ferrière-Sauvebœuf. Text printed in French, publisher mentioned at the bottom of the front.
