Black and white view of the Lower Walk of the Brèche Garden in Niort, with an ornate fountain in the foreground and pedestrians. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated July 5, 1919, addressed to 'My dear Annie,' expressing joy at receiving news and postcards. A 5-centime green stamp of the French Republic, obliterated.
