Description

Marble statue of the Virgin, work by Mme Berthe Girardot, sculptor, offered as a souvenir of her son, a pilot who died, symbolizing resignation. The inscription above the statue says: 'WHOEVER YOU ARE, PASSERBY, ENTER AND BOW LOW TO THE REMAINS OF THE HEROES WHO DIED FOR YOUR SALVATION.'
