Interior of the Conciergerie showing the Salle des Gardes, built in the Gothic style, with pointed arch vaults and massive pillars. The printed text indicates that prisoners descend from the staircase on the left upon arrival. Reverse: 15-centime postage stamp, Saint-Ouen cancellation, handwritten address to Abbé Ménecourt in Vilaine, and notation 'four francs twenty-five' in correspondence.
