View of the Museum of Cluny in Paris, showing its Gothic architecture on the ruins of a Roman palace. Printed text on the front indicates its history: built by Pierre de Châlons in 1340, completed in 1490, became a national treasure in 1793, then acquired by the State under Louis-Philippe. The back is blank, with partial handwritten text and moisture stains.
