Description

Postcard showing the funeral monument of General Duroc, born in 1772, grand marshal of the Emperor Napoleon's palace, killed near Bautzen in 1813, whose body was placed at the Invalides in 1847. The interior decoration of the crypt is visible, with a crucifix above the monument. On the reverse, the publisher is identified as the Society of Friends of the Army Museum, with the note 'J. Huse, Phot. Eliot, Paris'.
