Description

Interior view of the Chapel of the Invalides showing the red granite tomb of Napoleon I, built between 1843 and 1853, where his ashes were transported in 1840. Two 10-centime stamps of the French Republic are affixed, canceled in Paris. The reverse has handwritten text addressed to Mrs. Lucie Lemoine in Paris, with the sender's signature.
