Description

Black and white view of the classical façade of the basilica of the Madeleine in Paris, with its sculpted pediment and Ionic columns. The reverse side features a handwritten letter dated June 5, 1945, addressed to Mrs. and Mr. Normand in Paris, with a 2.50 franc postage stamp and a cancellation stamp 'PARIS XVIII 5 JUIN 1945'.
