View of Royal Street in Paris, with the Church of the Madeleine in the background, flanked by Haussmann-style buildings and animated by pedestrians and horse-drawn carriages. The reverse features a handwritten address to Saintes (Charente) and a postmark from Saintes dated August 15, 1908. Green 5-centime French Republic stamp, canceled in Paris.
