Description

View of Place de la Concorde in Paris, with the Luxor Obelisk in the center, pedestrians, and a carriage. Printed text recalling the history of the site: 'Originally called Place Louis XV, then Place de la Révolution. Louis XVI was guillotined on January 21, 1793.' Reverse: handwritten address to Monsieur Simonet, Corporal, 15th Infantry, Pamiers, with a Luggeure (Gers) dispatch postmark and a 5-centime postage stamp.
