Description

View of the Church of the Madeleine in Paris, presented as a copy of the Parthenon of Athens, begun in 1764 and completed in 1843. The pediment depicts the Last Judgment, the bronze doors are engraved by Triqueti, and 34 statues adorn the colonnade. On the reverse, a postcard dated July 6, 1914, sent to Mr. Mionscamp in Paris, with a 15-centime stamp and a Parisian postmark.
