View of the Jardins du Trocadéro in Paris, showing a pond surrounded by rocks and young trees, with a monumental building in the background. The reverse bears a handwritten address to Camille Vion in Poix, Somme, and a postmark from Soult 20 September 1864. A blue 17-centime stamp is affixed at the top right.
