View of Square de la Concorde in Paris, with the Luxor Obelisk in the center, pedestrians and horse-drawn carriages. Printed text at the bottom: '4047. PARIS — Square de la Concorde. Lombard called Square Louis XV then Square de la Révolution. Louis XVI was beheaded there on January 21, 1793.' Reverse: handwritten correspondence dated May 22, 1895, sent from Paris to Madame Bougaillie in Bordeaux, with a postmark and postal cancellation from Paris, May 22, 1895.
