Description

View of the Place de la Concorde in Paris, centered on the Fontaine de la Concorde with the Luxor Obelisk in the background. The printed text recalls the history of the site: "Originally called Place Louis XV, then Place de la Révolution. Louis XVI was beheaded there on January 21, 1793." On the reverse, a handwritten address for "Monsieur François Helllick, Premier Minister to the Chambers of the State, Case de Brest (Finistère)" and a handwritten date "6/1/14".
