Vibrant view of the Place and Avenue de l'Opéra in Paris in 1917, featuring buildings such as the 'Compagnie Magie Gustave Bjarke' and 'Sacré-Suchard', and a crowd of pedestrians and horse-drawn carriages. The back shows a handwritten letter addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Rouland in Périgueux, with a 10-centime French postage stamp and a postmark from Périgueux dated October 27, 1909.
