Description

Black and white view of the Saint-Jean gate of Provins, an ancient fortified gate from the 12th and 13th centuries, with a central arch and stone ramparts overgrown with vegetation. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Bové Albert in Saint-Sulpice-le-Verdon, accompanied by a 15-franc French postmark depicting the Place du Général-de-Gaulle in Provins, canceled.
