Portrait of a matelote in traditional costume from Boulogne-sur-Mer, wearing a lace-trimmed tulle cap and a dress adorned with lace and fringes, with a handwritten dated inscription from 1908. Back: description of the costume, its origin in the Pas-de-Calais region, and its use for tourist posters at the end of the 19th century.
