Description

View of a military camp with numerous conical tents and soldiers in action, with sandbags lined up. The reverse details the history of the camp: inaugurated in 1857 in the presence of Napoleon III, it hosted the 27th Infantry Regiment in 1872, and later became an aviation school in 1908 with the workshops of the Antoinette house. French Republic 5 centime postal stamp, Rethel cancellation.
