Description

Scene of the awakening at the military camp of Sissonne in Aisne, where soldiers emerge from a large conical tent while two men in uniform blow fog horns. The reverse details the history of the camp, mentioning that soldiers lived under wooden tents and that coffee was prepared in a cauldron before 1887. Printed text attributed to the administrator Boutbéon.
