Description

View of the Chaumont viaduct in the Haute-Marne, with a train running on its deck. The printed text indicates its height (53 m) and length (654 m). On the reverse, a detailed text describes the structure as a viaduct built between 1856 and 1857 by the Compagnie des chemins de fer de l'Est, with 25 arches on the first level and 49 on the second, allowing the crossing of the Suize valley. The publisher is indicated as 'MOURTIN, ÉDITEUR, CHAUMONT'.
