Portrait of Coquelin, French actor (1841-1909), son of a baker from Boulogne, who won the second prize of the Comédie-Française at 19 and became a member in 1864. He performed 21 plays by Molière at the Comédie-Française before becoming director of the Porte-Saint-Martin theatre in 1890.
