Description

French aviator Hubert Latham on his Antoinette monoplane, at his flying station, before the planned Channel crossing on 25 July 1909 in Sangatte. The reverse details the expedition, noting that the aircraft, built by Levavasseur, was intended to cover 35 km at 70 km/h. The publisher is Librairie Militaire Guérin, Mourmelon, with a Lyon-Grande-Poste postage stamp dated 25 July 1909.
