Description

View of the Municipal Circus in Reims, an octagonal building 16 meters on each side, built in 1865 by Narcisse Brunette, with a stage 13.50 meters in diameter. The reverse details its history: opening in 1867, first performance of 'The Misanthrope' in 1879, and first moving images in 1896. Printed text on the reverse mentions the publisher 'CARTES D'AUTREFOIS' and the photo by D.R. coll. Spirat.
