Handwritten text on the back expresses the joy of receiving the postcard and mentions an expected reply. The address is intended for Madame Amélie Hermelin in Jarnac (Charentes). Two 5-centime stamps are affixed, with a dispatch postmark from Rochecouart (Hte-Vienne) dated 10 March 1903.
