View of the monumental entrance of the Maritime Prefecture of Rochefort-sur-Mer, adorned with the inscription 'LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ'. In the foreground, several people, including children, stand in front of the arch. The reverse features handwritten correspondence addressed to 'Chalot' and a 10-centime French Republic stamp, canceled at 'ROCHEFORT SUR MER' on August 17, 1916.
