View of the Mac-Mahon Barracks in Saint-Mihiel in 1897, with an ornate portal bearing the inscription 'Honneur et Patrie' and the date 1897. Soldiers in uniform and a cavalryman are visible in front of the entrance, while a green 5-centime stamp is affixed at the top right. The reverse features a handwritten address to Monsieur Constant, Marchand des Logis au Tram, at Camp de Chalons.
