Description

Bronze bas-relief depicting a battle scene with an officer on horseback in the center, surrounded by soldiers, on the 1870 monument in Saint-Quentin. On the reverse, the postcard bears the recipient's address in Cherbourg, handwritten text, a 15-centime postmark from 1898, and a Cherbourg cancellation stamp from July 31, 1898. The printer is L'Imprimerie Nouvelle Photographique in Paris.
