Description

View of Saumur Castle, built with the abbey in 950, restored in 1810 and 1885, and turned into a municipal museum since 1830. On the reverse, printed text indicating its history and its role as a state prison under Louis XI. Artist's signature 'Ciny' at the bottom left of the front.
