Black and white panoramic view of an alpine canyon with a river in the foreground, steep cliffs and snow-capped peaks in the background. The reverse has handwritten text indicating a tourist itinerary to Col de la Forclaz and mentions 'Chalet du Fer à Cheval' with a postmark from Annecy dated 5 September 1956. The publisher is 'Photographie Rémitable' and the address is Sixt-Fer-a-Cheval (Haute-Savoie).
