View of the Gothic cathedral in Soissons, begun in the second half of the 12th century and completed at the end of the 15th century, with its imposing portal and rose window. The back has handwritten correspondence addressed to Madame Andrée Lesson in Cherbourg, with a note of 'Dear Chaty at la Roche Courmelle near Soissons, Aisne' and a signature of Yvonne Chaty.
