Soldiers in uniform work on preparing a military spur in Soissons in 1914-15, in a devastated landscape with houses in the background. Reverse: handwritten correspondence addressed to Monsieur Benet in Dijon, with a stamp and cancellation from Châlons-sur-Marne dated 31-3-16.
