Description

Postcard showing the Pendentif of Valence, a Renaissance funerary monument erected in 1548 by Canon Mistral, a local merchant family. The printed text on the front mentions that this is the first of its kind in France and that its heraldry is identical to that of the poet Frédéric Mistral. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated August 24th, addressed to a « dear cousin ».
