View of Place de la République in Valence, centered on the Monument Augier with an equestrian statue and sculpted figures. To the left, a building with balconies and a sign reading 'TE NEUVE'. The reverse side features a handwritten letter addressed to 'Madame Gourc' in Castres, with a red French Republic stamp and a postmark from Valence (Drome) dated August 23, 1908.
