View of an old stone portal in Vaucouleurs, with a square tower and an arched passage, surrounded by trees and ruins. The reverse features a handwritten address to Madame Marie Thérèse Girardin in Bar-sur-Aube, a green 10 centime stamp, and a cancellation stamp from Dijon (8th arrondissement) dated August 13, 1908.
