Description

French military postcard from the Republic, intended for correspondence of troops in operations, with a form for the sender (name, rank, unit) and recipient's address. The reverse contains handwritten writing indicating a military movement: departure from Arcis-sur-Aube on March 19, arrival at Subligny on April 4, then to Moyennesville (Oise) until April 12, and finally to Harancourt until June 1, with a mention of operations at Royal-lieu. The card bears the inscription 'Part reserved for Correspondence' and an instruction prohibiting any mention of military operations.
