The front presents a form for soldiers at the corps depot, with handwritten notes on rank, residence, and assignment. The reverse contains a personal letter where the soldier informs his family that he is on leave, mentions his daughter, and expresses his hope to return to Paris. The stamp and cancellation are visible at the bottom right.
