View of the Gothic cathedral of Chartres, with its two iconic spires, within the urban fabric. Printed text at the bottom: 'CHARTRES. - The Cathedral. - LL.' and publisher mark 'SELECTA'. Reverse: handwritten correspondence dated July 20, 1923, addressed to Madame and Monsieur Fugueray in Caen (Calvados), with a 10-centime green stamp and cancellation 'CHARTRES 20 JUILLET 1923'.
