Description

Indian interior postcard dated 1947, addressed to the Secretary of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Calcutta. The reverse carries a message in English and Hindi: « Untouchability is a crime against God and man », accompanied by a violet 35 annas postage stamp and a postmark with a portrait of Gandhi. The recipient's address is handwritten, and the PIN code is visible. The lower edge of the reverse is torn.
