Description

Panoramic view of the Abbey of Hautecombe on the shores of Lake Bourget, with a monastic building and trees in the foreground. The reverse indicates that the abbey was founded in 1125 by Count Amédée III, then passed to the Benedictines in 1162, and mentions tombs and frescoes. The address is intended for Madame and Monsieur Cochet in Paris, with a 25-centime stamp and a cancellation from Chambéry.
