Description

View of the Angoulême Town Hall, with its imposing building and battlemented tower, surrounded by urban buildings and a few passersby. On the reverse, a handwritten address sends the card to Madame Maudry in Paris, with a 40-centime French postage stamp and a cancellation mark from Ciste dated April 28, 1914. The card bears the inscription 'Photo Edition A. Gilbert, Angoulême'.
