Devastated view of Arras after the bombings of World War I (1914-1916), showing the ruined barracks and the damaged chapel of the citadel, with three soldiers in military uniform on the ground. On the reverse, a handwritten correspondence dated February 28, 1916, addressed to 'M. Maurice', mentioning the postcard as a souvenir and the war conditions in Arras.
