Scene of three women in traditional attire waiting for a ferryman on the banks of a river, with moored boats. The reverse features a handwritten letter addressed to 'Mademoiselle Hantard, 22 Rue Victor Hugo, Lyon', with a 10 centimes postage stamp and a cancellation mark from Vaulx-en-Velin (Rhône) dated May 22, 1902.
